>>>>>[ Meine Damen und Herren, I have noticed decidedly acerbic
conversation
regarding members of both sexes as well as colleges... Rather interesting
choice of topics for discussion, in my view.

First, to the Colleges: I fail to comprehend the motivation behind this broad-
spectrum panning of institutions of higher learning. Education is one of the
most valuable possessions one may acquire, in my view, more valuable than
gold, more valuable than precious jewels. I, personally, have spent a great
deal of time acquiring knowledge at such institutions. In retrospect, they
were some of the most fascinating and intellectually-stimulating experiences in
my life. I learned a great deal about life in general, about people during my
time spent there. However, I shall not claim that the experience was all good:
I attended a military academy (naturally), and although I managed to gain
considerable knowledge about camaraderie, I managed to forge precious few
friendships or acquaintances. College was a terribly lonely experience, but
perhaps that was due to being from a culture different from the majority of
my fellow students. Graduate school was far better for meeting people, I feel.

I maintain one cannot learn EVERYTHING "on" the streets. As to the claims that
college is a waste of time, I put it to you: Did any of you graduate?
Where else can you go to hear from people who (at the better institutions)
experts in their field, have spend a large portion of their lives studying a
topic, and are willing to impart this store of information to you? Private
tutors are not necessarily the best talent pool from which to draw. But before
anyone rails out with examples of poor professors and exceptional tutors, let
me merely state that at the ACCREDITED universities (e.g., Texas A&M&M, MIT&T,
UCLA) the opportunities and quality of the education can be nearly
unparalleled.

And ne'er to be forgetting Fraulein DOA: Yes, I am proud.

As to this War of the Sexes: Ladies! Gentlemen! What is the reason for this?
Men and women are different, I wholly agree, but that does not necessitate an
open conflict, as such endeavors often prove to be quite counter-productive in
the long run. Why such animosity?

Women will never fully understand men, and men shall never be able to fully
fathom women (believe me, I know, I have attempted) (and from the background
are hear cries of: HEAR!! HEAR!!). However, enough of such things, I feel the
desire to spend a nice, quiet evening with my wife. ]<<<<<

Period. And as to men & women: Vive la difference! ]<<<<<
