"My god, it's full of stars"
That's what one of the rebel deckers said when we tried to recon the Omega
datafortress. The place is big, damm big with the heaviest IC I've seen in
a long time. I had to dust off my GNU programs to keep the IC away. The GNU
sleaze helped, but the barrir IC in the SAN got a fix on Kat so we had to dump
it before the alarms went off. Basically here's what happened to Kat,
Nightstalker, and myself when we went in.

In the SAN : This place was red, very red! They put some of the
best protection right at the door! We were greeted by a huge barrier that
looked like a giant airlock (to me at least). It didn't even notice me thanx
to the GNU programs (I've already downloaded 1NuYen to Yoshida's account just
to keep in line with the copyright laws), Nightstalker made it through too,
but when Kat stepped up, a voice rang out "enter passcode please". By the
time it finished it's message, Nightstalker and I hit and dumped it with our
attack progs. No alert yet.

Next we moved to an SPU, red again. A blaster was on us as soon as we
stepped in. No time for subtlety, I keyed up a mirrors and took a stab at it.
Between the three of us we killed it quickly with Kat taking a minor hit that
her hardening took care of.

Moved on to another SPU, also red. This one must have been important,
because the barrier IC here triggered an alert on us, and released something
big and black. This was a mean sucker, especially after being on alert.
I told Kat to try and pull out, her deck isn't as good at this as mine and
'stalker's. By the time we dumped it we were both a little hurt, and were
the subjects of a full scale external alert. Two enemy deckers showed up just
before we cut out. Can't be sure, but they may know I'm getting involved now.
I don't doubt that their bosses gave them a complete description of my MO,
although they probably haven't figured out that I was jacked in locally.

Now that we have a better idea of what the system is like, we're going to
tailor our virus, and go for insertion after the alert wears off.
