INN: In a surprise move today, the UCAS government has come out strongly
against the German Declaration of War against the fledging Omega Island. In a
strongly worded statement by UCAS Ambassador Lt. General Wendell Trevor, the
government as stated that if Germany tries to prosocute it's war against Omega
Island that there will be serious international reprocusions.

Here is part of the press conversence given by Lt. General Trevor:

"It is the opinion of the UCAS government that Germany's Declaraton of War
against Omega Island is a direct violation of several provisions of
International Law. Germany is clearly overreacting to the unfortunate sinking
of one of thier ships by a vessel of the Omega Navy. Not only has the Omega
Government not had enough time to investigate the actions taken by the captain
of the offending ship, but Germany has failed to go through diplomatic channels
to get the Omega Government to pay for this action.

"By stepping directly to armed conflict, without petitioning the United Nations
for sanctions of any kind towards Omega Island, Germany has proven itself to
be the country that needs to be watched very carefully. Even now UCAS
ambassadors to the Native American Nations, the Confederate American States,
Azatlan, and Great Britian are lobbying for sanctions and formation of a
military coalition to end this German aggression. The President has also vowed
that if German Military Force land on Omega Island that the UCAS will do all in
it's power to force them to leave."

The General then opened the Press Conference to questions. Here are several of
his answers.

"General Trevor, what is the Presidents opinion on your suitablity to continue
as ambassador to Omega Island given the allagations of the People's Liberation
Army?"

"I have been investigated various times in my career as a UCAS soldier and have
always been found to have been completely innocent of any wrongdoing. The
President has told me personally that he has the upmost confidence in my
abilities to continue at this post. In fact after this conference I am
returning to Omega Island to meet with the acting President of the nation."

"General Trevor, what is the UCAS position on the sinking of the German ship by
Omega Forces?"

"We feel that is was an unfortunate incident and that Omega Island should make
reperations to Germany for this act. However our own intelligence along with
some we have recieved for Omega Island indicate that a ally of the true leaders
of the Omega Rebellion was supposed to have been onboard that vessel."

"What do you mean when you say "the True Leaders" of the Omega
Rebellion."

"I mean the two criminals Dark Elf and Tommy Harada. It is beyond reason that
Jacob Marcus is the leader of this movement. The mere fact that the Omega
Government has been in existance less than 3 months makes a rebellion started
by domestic forces to be impossible. This combined with the several terrorist
bombings by Tommy Harada before the Rebellion began and Harada's place as the
military leader of the Rebellion prove that the rebellion is a farce. It is the
work of two disturbed men on personal vendettas against members of the the Omega
Government."

"Are there any other pieces of proof that the Rebellion was started by outside
forces?"

"Yes. The Omega Government has made a list of over a dozen Shadowrunners based
in the UCAS, CAS, and NAN that are taking part in the rebellion. The attack on
the Intrepid was performed by an outside operative and it is believed that the
kidnapping of the president was performed by Dark Elf and his personal team of
Shadowrunners."

So as you can see, the UCAS Government has come down strongly against Germany's
Declaration of War on Omega Island. The UCAS ambassador to the United Nations
is at this very moment making calls for UN abritrated negoiatitions to end this
crisis. Let's switch to the UN for the end of his speech.
