INN: Following the decision of the UN Security Council, this statement was sent
out by Omega Island Secretary of Commerence Roger Quention.

"The UN decision to let Germany continue its path of wanten violence is a
travesty. It is yet another piece of proof that the UN is merely a
international clubhouse were the only thing necessary to recieve a favorable
ruling or decree is force of arms. It is apalling to see the UN, which just
scant months ago recognized the Omega Island Government, throw us to the German
shark in a effort to not cause waves. If Germany would like to solve this
crisis like a civilized nation instead of jumping the gun and blasting the
peaceful people of Omega Island then we would welcome the chance to sit down and
discuss the problems that have arisen. However if Germany wishes to follow this
path to war than be warned. The Omega Government has the power and the
resources to make them regret thinking so lightly of us. We also issue a
warning to the UN Observers that in time of war there is no time to watch out
for spectators. While we will not instruct our troops to fire on UN Observers,
we will not take the time to ensure every vehicle or person attacked is in fact
a German."

"Also we of the Omega Government would like to express our contempt for the
interview of Marcus Jacob and Tommy the self-styled Dragon Harada. The gross
fabracations given in that interview and the soon to come fictisous
documentation of our wrong-doings are laughable. It is true that Tommy Harada
trained the PLA into a force to reckon with. A terrorist force that specializes
in bombings, murder, and kidnapping. Marcus Jacob and his band of rebels did
not even give the Government a chance to bring improvements to the island. They
teamed up with Tommy Harada, a man who when last seen in public tried to
assassinate me on the Intrepid, to bring down this fair government. The truely
heart-wrenching story of how the rebels recruited Tommy, and how he taught them
that they could make a difference is worthy of a film. The truth is that these
men are waging a private war against the Government for their own selfish
reasons. Jacob and his followers wish to install themselves as dictators while
Harada wants to punish Tirandor and myself for some imagined crime against him.
The specialist they say are gathering data to backup their stories are
shadowrunners and deckers, masters of lies. In fact one of their allies is a
decker with strong links to the German govenment. Remember that these men are
terrorist and terrorist will do or say anything to achieve their goals."
