Something like PGP encryption. I'm not sure exactly how ti works (just
started researching), but when you mail something out, the program
encrypts it with your personal key. This key is registered in parts all
over the internet and receivers assemble a decription key based on the
parts all over and the key you give them (or something like that . . . i
started researching only about 12 hours ago).

In any case,as I said, if the computer networks of 2054 don't have some
kind of background encryption that is relatively transparent to the
reader, I'd be dumbfounded.
