Well, maybe not die, but maybe be forced to listen to the details of
Clinton's economic proposal. That shoudl cause anyone massive amounts of
pain :)

---

This letter has to do mostly with character registration. Mostly because
I don't have most of the more common characters registered, yet.

Here's how this cast listing is going to work. Every time a person signs
on to ShadowTalk, they get a copy of the long-version FAQ. This is the
normal FAQ with the cast listing appended to it. It is a long file in
total, already ~30k. That is too big to be posting monthly all over the
net because when all is said and done it may read over 100k large.

So what I am going to do start another distribution list. This is much
like the log distribution list, except that this one will be devoted to
sending out a copy of the cast listing once a month.

I'll be adding this distribution to the information in the FAQ, but in the
meantime you can contact me and I'll add you to the distribution. The
name of this list is 'CAST'.

Also, as I said, most of you HAVEN'T registered your characters yet. This
is a very easy thing to do. I'm including a copy of the original posting
I made to serve as a reminder of the format and stuff. Please take a few
minutes to send me your characters.

--<INCLUSION>--

I've been meaning to start this (again) for a couple of weeks now (just
one of hundreds of little projects).

I'm going to be compiling a list of the current characters from ShadowTalk
and then mailing out this list as a companion to the FAQ. What I need all
of you to do is to send me your characters. This is a duplicate of the
efforts that Christina Johnson did several months ago, but I'm not sure
where she is at in terms of the file and I figured it would be jsut as easy
for me to start fresh with a new file here so that I have it up to date and
local.

As always, there is a format you MUST follow to register your characters.
The format looks like this:

Character Name -- Your Real Name <your@*****.address)
-- <--two dashes
Up to an eight line description of the character. Say what you need to
say and no more. Include mannerisms and whatever. Be fun. We don't need
a complete physical description, though. For characters with real name,
use the last-name first method.

FOR EXAMPLE:
Yoshida, Joseph -- Robert Hayden <aq650@****.INS.CWRU.Edu>
--
President of the large corporation Yoshida Technologies. Father to Norman
Yoshida. Largely responsible for the development of several early
cybernetic components. Often considered in the 'runner community to be a
'nice' corp.

Now, if you wish to register your character, please send them to me. This
will be a 'from scratch' compilation so I won't be using anyone from the
old list.

Please limit your submissions to one (1) character per letter. It is
important that you do this because of the way the editing handles pasting
text around.

If you have any question, complaints, or free money, please feel free to
let me know.

--<END INCLUSION>--

Alright, I'll stop ranting now. Get your stuff to me.

Thanks
