I did check into your Mr. Ian Cullen. It seems he'a a former wage mage in
the employ of Aztechnology. Quite the whiz-kid, 'twould seem, and worked his
way up the corporate ladder with lightening speed. Elven male, unmarried, one

disappeared. No notes, nothing. His personnel file still has him marked as
being on "unpaid leave." That was more than 30 years ago, though, back
in 2022. More information than this will take substantially more digging, and
most likely a decker. Where's Kenda, anyway. Or wasn't there a new decker out
there looking for work? I'll leave the interviewing up to you.

Equally interesting was the reaction of Aztechnology. As you know, I can
usually paw through their mundane files such as old personnel records without
anyone so much as noticing. This time I was accosted by an elven woman, who
identified herself only as "Ms. Johnson" (Imagine. Someone at _Aztech_
referring to themselves as Johnson to _me_.) She mentioned that Mr. Cullen had
been working on something "important" when he left his post, and Aztech wants
it back. Really bad. And they're offering mega-nuyen for its return. Her exact
words were, "He was working on an item. We want it back, either in one piece,
or at least return the shrapnel." I hate corp-speak.

My guess is that Mr. Cullen is, or perhaps better - became - Arago T'Hoth,
and the "item" Aztech wants is the focus. I don't trust this Ms. Johnson, but
I'm not sure I trust your "Keeper" either. At least Ms. Johnson has an aura.
I don't know her intentions, but she's not a mage, and I believe she's just
a very corporate little bitch with a job to do.

And to top it all off, the 47 degree 31 minute North Latitude line runs not
only through your Mongolian province, but also directly through the Mage Lab at
Aztechnology HQ here in Seattle. You weren't, perchance, standing to the west
of both when you inserted the stone, were you?

You have the focus. The next move is yours.
