reading this. Ha, sorry about that, I enjoy my little jokes. But...
I can't find Spectre. He's basically disappeared since he stormed
out of the clinic (I took care of the bill). He has had no contact, as
far as I can tell, with any of his usual comrades, and has not appeared
at any of his usual haunts. He has, however, done something that I am
at a loss to explain. Or at least don't really want to explain for I do
not like the implications. After walking out of the clinic I deposited
him in he checked into a different clinic, where he had some surgery]
completed. Strangely, he had a cyberhand installed in his left arm, to
replace the hand cut off by that spirit. This, after he damn near
killed the doc at the other clinic for even suggesting the idea, and
then demanded an organic replacement cloned. But not.... he has a
cyberhand, basic version. No neat tricks, but the hand is not disguised
at all, at Spectre's personal request. He told the installing doctor
that he wanted to allways face it, to be reminded of his damnation. The
doctor was quite disturbed, and having reviewed the security cameras files
from that day I can see why. Spectre does not look at all normal. He
seems nervous, almost hyperactive. The Spectre I knew was one of the
most tightly controlled people I ever met. I don't think he even blinked
without thinking about it first. But this...he's twitching and looks like,
well, a psycho, to be honest. The doctor asked him if he was sure about
getting the hand installed, and he just sighed, gritted his teeth, and
whispered,
"Yes. It doesn't matter anymore. Just do it."
When the doc was ushering him into the operating room I swear Spectre
looked like he was frightened. He was barely stopping himself from
running away!?!?! I hope you can see why I'm nervous.
Oh yeah, and last night a Yakuza fencing operation I'm aware of was
destroyed. Violently. 12 people dead, including two unfortunate Lone
Star cops. And one person had his brain punctured in a way that I
understand is Spectre's trademark when he is thoroughly mad.
Anyway, Raven, I know you and Spectre dislike each other, but you were
a team for years. I don't suppose you might have a clue as to where he's
gone to ground?]<<<<<
