the Ould Isle regarding the little trinket in our possesion. The tale

The location at which Cullen/T'Hoth performed his little ceremony of
sacrifice is an interesting place indeed. It 'twould seem it is a duplex,
of sorts. First, the foundation is a vast deposit of the element Millhaus
(I beleive) mentioned, and is the focal point of a ley line. Second,
Ancient myths tell us that this spot is also the location of an Extremely
powerful, yet benign, earth intelligence. All accounts from the past lead
to the conclusion that this is indeed true (as my friend across the pond
beleives). It would seem that Cullen/T'Hoth managed to contact, nay
commune with this intelligence. From what has been gathered, I would guess
the story to be something like this:
Cullen became aware of the myth of the spirit residing near the city of
Linao.
Aztechnology became aware of the large Americium (sp? Mill.) deposit there
and was QUITE interested in it's weapons potential. They then commissioned
the geological surveys.
Cullen became aware of Aztech's interest in the site, and wanted to get to
the intelligence before the site was disrupted.
The intelligence (through communion with Cullen) became aware of Aztech's
interest in the treasure of the site (which is probably some kind of power
source for it).
The intelligence outlined the ritual for Cullen, and somehow provided
incentive for his performance thereof.
The result is that through Cullen's ritual and sacrifice, he (now as the
foci) became the sole means of contact to the intelligence. The
intelligence/spirit (or whatever you prefer) invoked MANY NASTY BEASTIES
and such to guard the site as long as part of it's essence was infused with
Cullen's in the focus. Thereby protecting the sacred site, the ley line,
and the rare elements from any approach as long as the focus existed. This
would explain the great interest in the focus, as well as the deposits
there explain Aztechnology's interest in the site.
Enter Moral Delima: If the focus is destroyed, many besides Aztechnology
will have a chance at access to the rare elements. Will this disrupt the
ley line? If the focus falls into the wrong hands, who knows how it will
be used?
I beleive that's enough for now. I will try to reach Kendra's soon.
Nitro, Legion, Millhaus: We still have our "friend", Merit to deal with.
Have any of you assensed him? I don't beleive he can be trusted. I will
see what I can find out about about his "group". Kendra, can you dig up
anything on them? Anyone: have any ideas? I do have a trusted person who
is sincerely interested in purchasing the focus, as well as many of the
