proportional to
the product of the mass of the item and the relative strength of its magick.
For a normal spell focus, I'd say wrapping the object would "shield" it for
somewhere around 20 hours. Of course, putting it inside a big box and wrapping
that box would increase the effective time of "shielding."
Preliminary non-linear regression gives the following
m * A
t = --------
L
2
Where t = time (sec), m = mass (g), A = surface area of wrapping (cm^2),
and L = approximate "initiate level" or "initiate grade" of the
magick.
In my example above, assuming a spell focus with a mass of 1 Kg, a surface area
of 300 sq. cm. (about 5" square and .5" thick), and created by a level-2
initiate magicker, the time would be approximately 75,000 seconds, or 20.83
hrs.
I estimate it will take approximately 6 hours to fabricate sections of wrapping
about 2 meters square (40,000 cm^2).
There used to be a telecommunications distribution warehouse just off Pier 86.
I also have reason to believe they sold more than coaxial cable from there. If
they're still in business, I'd suspect a few nuYen would convince them to
"find" some Zr wire. As for the wool, you're on your own.]<<<<<
