The time of effective shielding by the material is non-linearly inversely
proportional to the magick level of the item, but it does correlate to be
linearly proportional to the mass of the object.
Now I know this isn't logical. A bigger object should be shielded for a shorter
period of time, but from the data I have, and I've rechecked the numbers, the
equation I posted originally is correct.
With this caveat pointed out, however, use it at your own risk. I believe the
data I have to be insufficient for a better analysis. The data Kendra provided
me does not help much. All the objects they tested originally had the same
