A question to other GM's out there: does anyone else not allow the Yamaha
Pulsar in their games? (Besides you, Steve!)
Here's my main problem:
You have a cool villain, who is single handedly fighting off the party.
Suddenly, someone zaps him/her with the Pulsar, and s/he's down for several
rounds, enough time for the players to roast, toast, and cook marshmellows
over the prone body. I have never seen anyone, PC or NPC, resist these
things. Even heavily armored people fall victim. Eventually, they were
removed from play as too upsetting to Game Balance (tm).
Any other opinions?
