.....Dr. Jackson appeared surprised and just shook his head slowly as he
returned to his seat.
Beginning at around 10:00 this morning, the Prosecution began its presentation
of evidence to the court, beginning on the easiest charges of Public Menace and
Possession/Use of Controled Explosives. With the blood tests given to Dr.
Jackson earlier this week and the expert testimony of the original discoverer
of the Human-MetaHuman Vampiric Virus, Dr. Jackson was shown to the court to be
a vampire, a condition that appears to have been determined beyond a shadow of
a doubt. The next charge{Note: Use of the FAE's on Mil Tech property} was
then shown by various forensics and military explosives experts to have been
the use of Fuel-Air Explosives, or FAEs as they are called. These are devices
which release a highly flammable or explosive vapor into the air and then
ignite it to destroy or light fires. With the evidence presented here, it is
almost a certainty of his conviction on this count.
Then, after a noon recess, the Prosecution began the length process of proving
the charge of Harboring a Known Criminal, a one Charles Eagle Plume once in the
employ of Ares Macrotech who left the corporation illegally gam
, taking with him
several items of extreme value. To this reporter's untrained eye, the evidence
here presented was extensive, but still couldn't totally prove Dr. Jackson's
guilt on this count.
Finally, the Prosecution hit on the 9 counts of Destroying Public/Corporate
Records, including Pueblo, Carribean League, CAS, UCAS, Seattle, New Orleans,
NAN(Souix/Salish-Shidhe/Ute combined charges), Mil Tech, and the Corporate
Court. They were still presenting evidence when the Judge called an adjournmentuntil
tomorrow morning.
In a not-unexpected move, Interpol agents removed Dr. Jackson by helocoptor to
the main Interpol Headquarters.
In related news, several small riots popped up over New York and several other
cities reported small mobs swarming down on suspected vampires and literally
tearing them limb from limb. There have been 18 casaulties in New Orleans
alone, and another 12 spread accross the UCAS and CAS. The property damage
caused from the fallout of the mobs has been estimated at 250k nuyen and is
expected to grow. The NYPD, Interpol, Knight Errant, and Winter Security have
been meeting in a closed door session since 18:00 this evening. They are
thought to be discussing calling out the Metroplex Guard for emergency crowd
control.
