"Miss! Miss!! Yes, miss, Lowella Doni here for the Dayton Daily News.
Are you responsible for the destruction here?"

<<The two black women stand about two metres apart, the one with barrels
<<smoking, the other with microphone and cameraman at the ready. The
<<gunner speaks in a smooth, liquid voice -- most likely artificial,
<<you're .sure. of it. Last time you heard a voice that smooth was on the
<<Maria Mercurial overdubs for that used-cd store.

"Naturally."

"Then you're accepting the fact that both The Nation and Lone Star will
be wanting you for assault, intent, and most likely...."

"Murder one, yes, I know. The difficulty that both those peoples will
have, though, Lowella, is that I am a member of the black community, a
community which will no longer allow The Nation to stand up and claim
that which they want, in our name, claiming our support. It is time
that we stood up against those who, like the whites so long ago, took from us
without considering the consequences. We will not be unjustly represented,
and we will not allow The Nation to represent the black community any longer.
We will now fight back."

"Does your organiza-HUGGHHH!!!"

<<Visual of the woman shoving Lowella aside, a bullet singing through the
<<space which the newswoman had just occupied, whining off of the assailant's
<<bullet-revealed aura and flak jacket. Vindicator barrels whir again, and the
<<gun is brought down, sounding like the motion is undoing a gigantic zipper.

<<A moment later, the gun stops, and is waved in the direction of the victims.

"He could be dead; we believe in .something. of a choice."

<<The woman turns, cradling the enormous firearm in her arms, before she takes
<<off down the street and turns into a different alley than the one from which
<<she emerged. The reporter, Lowella Doni, turns to the camera.

"A citizen group deciding to take the war back against the streets, back
against the gangs; that is what this mysterious woman has claimed. Whether or
not The Nation will fight against this organization of citizens to take back
the streets remains to be seen."
