In a surprising end to the testimony, the trial all but ended today in yet
another unusual trial precedent.

Today, the Defense's only witness was Dr. Jackson himself. In a surprise

line of questioning, the Defense asked rapid fire whether or not he was guilty
of the crimes. Here is a clip from our internal crew.
{switch to inside courthouse}

Def: Did you, at any time order the destruction of public records, specificallywithin the
systems directly involved with your history and possible criminal
activities?

AJ: Never.

Off: Objection. The evidence has shown that Dr. Jackson did in fact know
about the destruction of his records.

Def: This is not contested, your Honor, only the ordering of said destruction,
an act upon which all 8 Conspiracy to Destroy Public/Corporate Records rests.
With the court's permission, I would like to have a court provided magician
cast a powerful Detect Truth spell on Dr. Jackson to determine his innocence or
guilt.

Judge: With the Defendants permission(AJ nods his head and says "yes"), pleas
proceed with the questioning.
{Court Truthfinder brought in}

Def: Did you, at any time order the destruction of public records, specificallywithin the
systems directly involved with your history and possible criminal
activites?

AJ: Never.{Court Truthfinder nods an acknowledgement}

Def: Did you ever thank the decker known as Solitaire for destroying the
records in the affected systems?

AJ: I believe I said something like "I guess I should thank you...I think..."
{Truthfinder again nods ascent}

And the rest of the Defense's line of questioning proceeded along the same linesas this.
Upon crossexamination by the Prosecution, no new information was
gotten from Dr. Jackson, and every time he answered, the Truthfinder nodded thatyes, he
was telling the truth.

But the Judge refused to allow any closing arguments. Both the Defense and the
Prosecution objected to this, both having prepared extensive closing arguments.
The explanation provided by the Judge was that it was in the best interests of
the public, presumably meaning the mob, and the court, presumably meaning thier
safety from the mob, and the defendant.

At 15:00 this afternoon, the Jury retired for deliberation. And just before
the judge called the jury back in for the adjournement until tomorrow, they
delivered thier verdict:

Guilty on all counts.

Sentencing will occur tomorrow at 10:00.

*****End Video Feed*****

Well, that's it. Oh, and the recent crowd estimate is now up to 29000.
Tomorrow is gonna be a busy day.]<<<<<
