*****Download : Blaze MPCP : 138Mp*****

This file contains all the relevant information that I could find... what you
have described is rather frightening... I hope you are not going after this
alone?]<<<<<

>>>>>[No, of course not. I will have support in both worlds... why? What is
the problem? I'm skimming the file, but I just see a bunch of legends... what
do they mean?]<<<<<
-- Blaze <09:14:26/02-15-55>

>>>>>[Tut, Blaze... I would have thought with your studies, you would
understand the meaning of the legends much better... even if you had never
read them before... the legends come from the last time there was great magic
in the world, before the Awakening... if we study them, we can understand some
of our current problems... but I realize you do not have much time, so I will
encapsulate for you...

What you have described from the ritual on your friend, Widow, has appeared on
two or three occaisions in the legends of our tribe. It is never really given
a name, but there is one thing that remains consistant about it... it is
always the servant of a greater evil, whether that evil is another magician,
or another spirit. If you can find the master of the creature that tried to
control Widow, you will find the one behind the current problem... I have a
theory, but I would have had to see the thing myself to be more certain...

The way you described it to me, it sounded as though it had some sort of hold
in the physical plane as well as the spiritual... as if it were 'bridging the
gap' between worlds. This seems to me to signify something rather troubling...
I believe that we are looking at a league between a spirit and a shaman...
something very sinister...]<<<<<

>>>>>[Insects? You think that we're dealing with Insect
spirits?]<<<<<
-- Blaze <09:22:50/02-15-55>

>>>>>[No. I don't... Insect spirits, in my experience, are never this
subtle... they wouldn't try and gain control of Widow like that... they would
have made her one of them... I think we're looking at something similar, but
not Insects certainly...

There is another legend in that file which gives reference to a thing called a
"Shadow"... while not from our own tribal lore, it is relevant, because it
holds a similar pattern of behavior with what you've told me... the Shadow is
a spirit, usually a former ally of some kind, but now set free, and twisted...
it thrives on causing fear and torment, and it loves the negative emotions
associated with such things, and feeds off them, becoming stronger... if it is
not destroyed soon, it will eventualyl become too difficult to stop. If I am
right, and I have no proof of this, you must act fast... there probably isn't
much time left.

Walk in peace, William Spiritsong.]<<<<<

Drek... this is serious... I had better start calling in favors... it looks
like I'm gonna need the help.]<<<<<
