Dikote puts a diamond film over a hard surface. The film makes the item
stronger and, if it was edged to begin with, sharper. It can get expensive
if you try to do a lot, from about 1000Y to dikote a knife or dagger, to
roughly 10000Y for a sword. Armor has even more surface, and thus more
cost. I believe the general rate (if you can find a place that has the
tech to do it) is somewhere around 1000Y per 100 square cm or so.
