Subject: Jasmine's starting her quest
Date: Thu, 5 May 1994 15:58:19 PDT
>>>>>[It is 4:00. This entire afternoon has been really bizarre. I almost
wonder if Jasmine knows how she's been acting. Avatar, she's talking like
you, but even more Olde Englishe than you. She's started reciting something,
I'm not really sure what it is. Anyway, as we entered the Snake House, she
turned to us and said:
"Yea but," quoth she, "the peril of this place
I better know then you, though now too late
To wish you backe returne with foule disgrace,
Yet wisedome warnes, whilest foot is in the gate,
To stay the steppe, ere forced to retreat.
This is the wandring wood, this Errours den,
A monster vile, whom God and man does hate:
Therefore I advise beware. 'Fly fly' quoth then
The fearefull Dwarfe: 'this is no place for living men.'"
I asked Arbethril if this was a good sign. She shrugged.
Jasmine already looked entranced. She walked past a cage where a man was
feeding one of the reptiles. A live mouse -- jasmine licked her lips and
continued walking. She stopped in front of a pit with a low fence around it.
"This is it."
Damn, I've never seen so many snakes before. All different sorts. I don't
know anything about them. Some of them may be poisonous. This is so wierd.
Anyway, I'll keep people informed. My deck is online. If anyone needs to
reach me, I'm here and waiting.]<<<<<

today's
date is 5-5-55? Is there some mystical significance?]<<<<<
