The image fades in to show an aerial view of a city, centered in the middle of
the picture is a wide area of destruction. Converging on the sceen, ever as the
camera shoots are many and various military and para-military vehicles, most
bearing the MET2000 symbol. Also converging on the sceen are the various
vechiles of news people, disaster hounds, and looters.
The voice of ace reporter Heinrich 'Wolf' Bernstein "We are neering the site of
the incident now. It seems that just 9 minutes ago, a very heavily armed and
very large para-military force blew up section of Berlin barrens. It is unknown
yet who did the act, but all major mega-corps in the area have denied
involvement, and the MET2000 concurs that it was not one the corps presently
located in Berlin, thouh they also have no clues."
"The recent word on the street is that the location that no longer exists below
us was in reality the secret data vault for the BIS. I for one can say that
many people will be happy to see the information in there on them gone. The BIS
has of yet not released any statement on whether the area was under their
ownership."
"It seems that the force entered the building at about midnight from the ground
level, and possibly the roof as well. Within about 30 seconds they had entered
the building and had it under near total control in under a minute or two.
Reports put the combat as being thick and deadly. There are claims of great
magical support, a fact which has been verified by KerBlitz mages in stating
that the area has had large amounts of recent magical activity. There are
reports coming in that the forces also had atleast 2 ACV's and three RPV's on
the sceen as was drones and ultraligts for air cover. Missles are said to have
taken out over 2 MET2000 planes and 3 combat helicopters."
"There are people who safely exited the building, though we are also told there
were quite a few casualties. About 5 minutes ago, 6 minutes after the attack
start, the unknown forces left the sceen in various direction and shortly there
after the building exploded in collussul display of distruction. About 2
minutes later MET2000 was able to get their large number of forces on the scene
to back up the air forces they had quickly responded with, but by that time the
attack force was vanished from the scene."
News from around the city reports that there have been more explosions just
recently, it seems that many vehicles have been scrapped and left for junk in
various parts of the city. People have called in and stated that the vehicles
were first self-destructed and then set upon by what reports claim to be
elementals. We have been unsure of the validity of some statements that we have
received until now, but because of the number of them we have decided that it is
not a hoax or exageration. The reports basically concur that 2 combat machine
of some type with a form between that of miltary armor and that of a vehicle
were present at the scene. Further more, these 'bots' for a better word, have
not been reported destructed away from the scene like the other vehicles.
We still do not have any word as of yet whether their have been any factions
claiming to have done this. Officials say that they are already investigating
the attack and are sending parties into the remains to search for survivors.
I personally am of the opinion that this attack is somehow related to the
earlier attack today upon the Interpol HeadQuarters in New York, UCAS, since
both attacks were done by highly skilled forces with military equipment and
support. We will continue to bring word to you as it comes in. This is Wolf
