>>>>>[ It seems that Erik Schmidt the head of BIS is displeased
with HAMMER's performance and is looking for information
concerning where HAMMER is after the Berlin mess. Well maybe I,
Ratspeak, should show him this . . . Nah. Too much fun this way.
And besides, it appears he went underground somewhere. So here's
what occurred to the best of my knowledge.

Apparently, a certain Mr. Jackson was part of a force involved in
the mess in Berlin. I managed to find this. It probably occurs
immediately after the explosions, due to the fact that there is
quite an orange sky in the background. (Sorry it took so long to find, but the
video was pretty hidden. Oh well. I'm sure you'll deal.)

+++++ Video starts.

(You are immediately impressed by the quality of the video. It
makes you wonder how Ratspeak found this video in the first
place. Surely he couldn't be responsible for the quality?)

You see a man running down the street. He seems to be randomly
taking turns left and right. In his right hand, he is holding a
katana. It takes you a second to figure out, but it is HAMMER.

It's even harder to make out, but you can tell that someone is
following him. You think you can make out a bow in its hands.
(It is still debatable at the sex of the chaser at this time).
As the follower passes around a corner he comes into full camera
view. The pane freezes on it. You can make out clearly the
military grade armor and the trademark bow and arrows of Action
Jackson. He definitely is not here on pleasure, by the fact that
he appears highly angry.

The image moves again, and AJ immediately disappears back into
the shadows. The camera shows the mostly deserted road. There
are very few people on the street. Most of them seem to be
heading in the direction of this large orange glow that is
lighting up the night. At the sight of someone running down the
street with a katana in his hand, most people go out of their way
to avoid him. In matter of fact, all but one man, who seems to
be lost in his own thoughts. This man is wearing a suit and is
wearing a fancy, long overcoat. He isn't wearing a hat, however,
and it is easy to notice his well-kept blond hair.

AJ rounds the corner, and finally seeing HAMMER lets out a snarl.
HAMMER continues running. You faintly hear Hammer utter: "Come
on AJ . . . follow me for a bit more. I've got a surprise for
you."

The man in fancy clothes looks up startled, and grins very
wickedly. Suddenly as HAMMER is passing him, he sticks out his
foot, which sends HAMMER flying. He says (in German), "Well if
it isn't Herr HAMMER. And you brought me a friendly bloodsucker
as a gift. How very kind of you."

HAMMER's eyes bulge out. "No can it be . . . why you should be .
. . " He never finishes his statement because, the man with a
flourish opens his coat. You see his hands moving, and he must
be talking, but you have the distinct feeling you would have
never heard what he was saying anyway. Out of his left hand,
sprays a blue light, that encases HAMMER in a little blue
electrical storm. HAMMER groans and slumps to the ground. AJ is
almost in talking range of the man, as he reaches down and picks
up the HAMMER's (formerly Spectre's) katana.

Man says very coldly in English: "Welcome to Berlin, Herr Doctor
Action Jackson. I told you last time you were here that the next
time would be your last. I'm afraid you simply cannot have
HAMMER. I'm equally afraid that you are going to have to die
now!"

Action Jackson, in a smooth motion brings up his bow and knocks
an arrow. He snarls: "Well, well, well. I can get two birds
with one stone tonight. If it isn't Nightmare. I've waited a
long time for this."

Nightmare smiles. A shadow steps out behind AJ and slams
something into his chest. AJ drops his bow and arrow and scream
in agony, which bares his fangs in the process. You can see the
person behind AJ is an ork came quite prepared to deal with a
vampire, as it is a wooden spike that has been thrust into AJ's
torso. With an angry snarl, AJ spins around and smashes his
elbow through the spike. With blinding speed he grabs the ork
and hurls him toward Nightmare. Nightmare gracefully sidesteps
the projectile as he starts chanting and gesturing broadly. AJ
grimaces as he pulls the rest of the spike out. With equally
lack in grace, he starts charging Nightmare.

Fortunately (or unfortunately depending on who you are rooting
for), AJ never makes it, by the time he gets five feet away, a
swirling glaring yellowish-orange net emerges in front of
Nightmare. With a flourish, it spins wildly around. In blinding
light (with equally frightening speed) the net wraps itself
around AJ. You hear perhaps the most frightening scream you have
ever heard in your life, as the net sears itself into AJ's skin.
AJ falls to the ground and flops around like a fish out of water.
Despite everything he tries he cannot escape the net. Finally AJ
stops moving, and the light of the net burns out.

Nightmare curses. In German he says, "Drek! He didn't die! Do
you have any more spikes Rebar?"

Rebar replies, "No. If I would have realized how hard he is to
kill, I would have though."

Nightmare pauses for a second reading something. And then
responds, "Hand me your gun. I have a feeling some other people
will take him into their custody, and they have no love for
vampires."

Rebar raises an eyebrow, yet still obeys Nightmare and pulls out
an Ares predator while walking over to Nightmare. He than hands
it to Nightmare. Nightmare smiles and says, "And give me one
more clip for good measure." Rebar nods and hands him another
clip. Nightmare proceeds without any silencer on the gun, to
fire two full clips into AJ's body. He then hands the gun back
to Rebar, "One can never be too sure with him."

Rebar: Nice shooting, mon.

Nightmare nods: "I don't suppose you have anything I could store
a body part in?"

Rebar grins wickedly: "Why yes, I do. But I was thinking that
you were going to use it for him (gestures toward HAMMER)."

Nightmare smiles and says, "Nope. We're going to take him in to
get some answers." Rebar reaches into a vest pocket and pulls
out a small container. Rebar than hands it to Nightmare.
Nightmare kicks AJ's left hand away from AJ's body. With slow,
but precise movements, Nightmare ceremoniously chops off AJ's
left pinkie at the middle joint. Using a simple levitation spell
he levitates the finger into the container and seals it. He then
wipes the blade off on AJ's still smoking armor, making sure to
get all the ichor off of it.

He then grabs the sheath off HAMMER and puts the sheath on. You
notice that he has another sword at his waist. Thinking back,
you vaguely remember that he had his own sword. You assume that
is it. Nightmare then completes the ceremony by sheathing the
katana.

Nightmare says in German, "Well, lets pick up HAMMER and get
moving. The natives are already restless. I'll assume they will
use the best judgment in dealing with the vampire. If not . . .
well, we'll worry about that later." Rebar sighs and shakes his
head and picks up HAMMER like a sack of potatoes.

Rebar says, "I don't like leaving something like a vampire around
to get revenge on me, mon."

Nightmare responds calmly, "I wouldn't worry about him yet. He
doesn't know you from Adam. Well he does know how much you
weigh, but I don't think that will help him find you again."

Quietly, they both disappear in a side alley. In what you assume
is under two minutes, a group of (for lack of better word)
gangers dressed up in black pants and white shirts. They look
around for something. Noticing no officials, one of the gangers
says in German, "Frag, they took HAMMER and left us with this
one. Well, we better take him in. Too bad we can't leave him
for the authorities. But orders are orders. Let's go!"
Quickly, a troll picks AJ up, and with great haste they leave.

+++++ video ends.

Well there you have it! Action Jackson is in the hands of some
gangers, and HAMMER is in Nightmare's hands. As one of my decker
comrades says, "Maybe justice _has_ been served in this." Then
again does it really matter? ]<<<<<
