Dear Samuel Carver,

No doubt good sir, you are already wondering at this message's arrival.
To arrive here on your desk, without your security knowing, has you probably
very much alarmed. That is just a small hinting, at my benefactor's
capabilities.

The reason for this offer is this: It has come to my attention that a
certain individual has captured another certain individual. This certain
person operates under the nom du guerre of "HAMMER." If you check Commander
Drake's files, you will undoubtedly note that he is the current Head of
Operations for B.I.S. My benefactor has recently acquired HAMMER, and wishes
to offer a trade. We will return to you HAMMER 24 hours after the release of
the international terrorist known as code name: Doomsday. I stress that it
will be 24 hours after Doomsday is released, because we will have the need to
verify that it is truly him.

Undoubtedly, you could refuse. Let me do my utmost to convince you in
a brief manner, that it is in your best interest not to refuse. I shall put it
this way. HAMMER represents an acquired knowledge of the affairs of the B.I.S.
that my benefactor would find highly useful. Plus, as you probably have
already found out, he is a highly efficient field operator. As such he has had
access to things which the German government would never want the civilians
or even other megacorporations to learn about. Whereas, Doomsday is a simple
international terrorist wanted for various crimes such as murder and carrying
illegal cyberware and weapons. Also, I will give you the benefit of the doubt
and assume you have just refreshed your memory of this "Doomsday," and in that
file, you will notice that he has been arrested twice - once by Ares, and now
once by Interpol. Probably wouldn't be all _that_ hard for someone in your
position to regain.

At this point, you are probably wondering why my benefactor wants
Doomsday. Well, I'll let you wonder. I hope to see Doomsday's release soon.
Inside the other document packet, you will find information concerning
accepting and rejecting my offer and how to follow through on either one. I
hope to see that you will respond by my deadline. If not, my benefactor will
take it as rejection. You are warned. All attempts to extend the deadline
