>>>>>[Things are cool up here. I feel a hell of a lot better. Have not
been
able to approach the hounds yet and they have not accepted Castor and
Pollux yet. They are still a little territorial (that is to be expected).
Both Castor AND Pollux are pretty dominate and strong fighters (they have
also had a lot more training) so I suspect that we will only lose one or
two adult males (the leaders) as we install Castor as the dominate male of
the pack.

There are 12 total hounds down here (making the loss of 2 pretty devistating)
7 pups 2 adult males and 3 females. I suspect there there might be another
pack somewhere nearby due to the fact that the number of pups is off by a
bit. There arent enough females to support this pack.

I think that I am just going to have Castor challenge the lead male and
see what happens. I cannot get very close as they can smell my magic no
matter what I do to mask it. That is the glory of having hell hounds for
magical defense. Its very hard to get something magical past them.

I cannot say that I miss the bustle of the city. Its far too peaceful here.
You should try this sometime...just come and be one with nature for a while.
Fresh air, a good companion, and all the food you can catch. Speaking of
which, could you stop by a stuffer shack and have someone bring me up some
chow, Im going nuts. NOTHING my father taught me about camping stuck. I
cant fish, I cant hunt, and couldnt set a trap to save my life. Some big
Native American Icon I am.

Maybe I can get one of the pups to share dinner with me -- nah, I didnt
bring my flameproof long johns. NEVER NEVER try to take food from a hell
hound. I dont care if you have hand fed him from birth. At about the
age of 6 or 8 months they remember their hunting instincts and its hot times
in the kitchen tonight.]<<<<<
