>>>>>[ Well you can thank Scourge for getting to release this to you all.
I am
still very hesitant about showing this to you all, but ... Scourge won the bet.

You see a somewhat familiar hospital room. In the bed is a still
comatose human body of Mark (aka Blitzkrieg). Next to the bed is
a man who is sitting on a chair. Judging the man's position on
the chair, it is either a very uncomfortable chair or he has been
sitting in it for a long time. He, Nightmare, has short blond
hair that looks like it hasn't been combed in days. He is also
starting to grow a beard. Sitting on the floor to his right is a
large troll, who unlike Nightmare looks decently rested. In
between the two is a small table with an ornate chess set on it.
Apparently the troll is playing white.

As the troll, who is most likely Doomsday, considers his move,
Nightmare gets up and sits on the bed. He seems to be muttering
something that you cannot quite catch. One thing for sure he is
paying far more attention to Blitzkrieg than he is the chess
game. An older elven Indian walks into the room. The Indian
looks at Blitzkrieg and sighs.

DragonEyes: "When was the last time either of you checked the
node for interesting news?"

Nightmare (offhandedly): "Before I came here." (Doomsday nods
as he continues to search for a move.)

DragonEyes: "Well then I have good news -- what are you thinking
Nightmare?"

Nightmare: "I wonder . . ."

DragonEyes: "Don't!"

Unfortunately, DragonEyes' cry goes out in vain, as Nightmare's
left-hand starts to glow red. Time seems to slow as his hand
approaches Blitzkrieg's chest. When his hand connects with
Blitzkrieg's chest, the lights seem to flare. You hear a roar of
anguish come from Nightmare and . . . and one of sheer pain come from
Blitzkrieg. Nightmare falls off the bed clutching his left hand
to his mid-section. DragonEyes ignores him and rushes to check
Blitzkrieg.

There is also some commotion at the door. Then you hear a
feminine voice say, "WHAT and Fenris move aside, please! You two
are too strong for me to move normally, and now I'm weaker than
usual. What happened?"

DragonEyes responds, "I wonder. Nightmare just tried something
and while it didn't quite work, its intriguing. Hhhhmmmmm."

You can see smoke rising from where Nightmare is huddled over his
hand. Through clenched teeth he says, "Frag! Well -- what -- is
-- your -- good -- news, DragonEyes?"

Doomsday calmly says, "Is dere any change in Mark?"

DragonEyes responds, "No. Well maybe not. I don't know. I'll
need some time. And then I'll look at your hand, Nightmare.
What you did was very foolish. You could have killed him."

Nightmare shudders for a little bit. He then clears his throat
and looks at DragonEyes. You can see fresh tears on his face.
He then says, "I really hate casting healing magic on myself.
Yes DragonEyes, I could have. But somehow I knew I wouldn't.
Well, what is the good news, or should I say, is their any good
news left in this damn world?"

DragonEyes looks blank for a second, nods, and then says, "Oh
yes, the news. Maze announced that on the eighteenth, Doom had
miraculously reawakened!"

Nightmare looks stunned. For a few moments he tries to speak,
but all he can do is smile. He shakes his head and says, "That's
great! I'll have to send a note off to Maze." He then pauses
and says, "What a second, the eighteenth?" DragonEyes merely
nods. Nightmare sighs and says, "What is today?"

Doomsday responds, "Da twenty-fourth."

Nightmare curses softly and then sighs. He says, "I really have
lost track of time."

You watch silently as DragonEyes does a thorough checking of
Blitzkrieg. Smiling he says, "I think we may have a way to bring
back Blitzkrieg!"

Nightmare smiles hopefully. Doomsday says, "Dat's great man!
How?"

DragonEyes blushes, "Well, through Nightmare, I'll explain the
details to him in a bit. Hmmm. Two things to cover beforehand
though. First everybody else should go into the other wing in
case something goes drastically wrong. Fenris, stay close enough
so as to pull us out if things go wrong. Second, I don't know
how Mark is going to react to well WHAT or Nightmare for that
matter."

WHAT cries, "WHAT!?! What do you mean you don't know how he will
react!? We're bloody friends. How would you react if you saw a
friend? Happy I think!"

DragonEyes looks extremely uncomfortable. Fenris clears his
throat and stares at DragonEyes until he nods. Fenris quietly
says, "Look WHAT, the only thing saving you from a beating right
now is the fact that DragonEyes demanded no violence here. The
night you left Seattle last, Powerhouse's sword was stolen.
Frankly all the evidence points at you. Blitzkrieg went
ballistic when he heard about it. He's wants that sword back
badly -- bad enough to kill anyone in pursuit of it."

WHAT looks extremely shocked, "Someone stole PH's sword?! No
tell me it's just a trick."

Doomsday says softly in his deep voice, "Sorry WHAT dis isn't any
trick. All da evidence points ta ya as da culprit. So while we
are discussin' it, where is da sword?"

WHAT looks around wildly and says, "I can't believe you! You are
accusing me of stealing his sword! PH was my friend! Why the
frag would I steal that?"

Fenris looks directly at WHAT and says, "I don't know why WHAT,
but I would like to know."

DragonEyes raises his hand, "Let's do this the simple way." He
pauses for a few seconds and then continues, "I really want to
believe you WHAT. I think we all do, so I will assume you are
telling me the truth. On the night you left Seattle, you had
arranged transportation for an item, yes or no?"

WHAT replies (bordering on hysterics), "Yes!"

DragonEyes sighs, "Okay. Where did you go? I know it wasn't
Pittsburgh."

WHAT replies softly, "I went to Germany."

Fenris snarls, "Let me guess you gave the sword to Nightmare
right?"

WHAT looks shocked, "No! I visited Nightmare to talk to him
about something else." He looks imploringly at Nightmare who
just simply nods. "Listen, I didn't take the sword, but I would
love to know who did."

Nightmare says quietly, "And who framed you so well no doubt.
Yes WHAT came to talk to me, but I cannot vouch for all his time
in Germany. And no Fenris, while I do not doubt you would love
to pin this all on me, I have to admit I do not have the sword."

Fenris snarls, "Well then where the hell is it?"

WHAT looks suspiciously at Nightmare. Nightmare just smiles.
After a little while he says, "WHAT, you left on the night that
the sword was stolen. You shipped yourself and some item to
Germany to come talk to me. You played up the conversation
enough to make it look like you were ready to deal with HAMMER if
you two met. Is not all of this true?"

WHAT looks sullen for a while. He finally says, "I can't believe
you all are doing this. Well, I believe it of Nightmare but I
don't believe it of the rest of you. Yes, I said I was ready to
deal with HAMMER. The item I brought to Germany was a nasty
surprise for him in case he tried to arrest me. I will say this,
It wasn't the sword. Last I knew it was still in Seattle."

Nightmare dryly chuckles, "Maybe or maybe not. Hypothesis who in
the world besides us in the room, would be nasty enough to steal
a sword."

Fenris snarls, "I don't see how that relates to WHAT's guilty or
innocence! I want to believe you WHAT, but . . ."

Nightmare sighs, "Assume for a moment that you did a case study
based on how people would react if a certain object was stolen.
You base a hypothetical conclusion from past experiments is that
a bunch of people would be hurt by this action. And furthermore,
that some of those people would be devastated enough to do
anything to get that item back, including striking at innocent
people like some of their friends." He shakes his head and
continues, "As much as I don't like to say it, Blitzkrieg fitted
that category and WHAT brought it to my attention. Anyway, the
object was stolen. The question is who hates people enough to do
that?"

Fenris growls, "You would."

Nightmare calmly responds, "I only would do that if they were my
opponents or true enemies. I don't consider you guys enemies.
You all qualified as past opponents. Try again."

Fenris says, "Well how do you know so much about this?"

Nightmare focuses on Fenris, "Fenris, I was an intelligence
operative. Be reasonable, playing detective sometimes fit into
my job description. But, right now I rather try and bring
Blitzkrieg back to our world then discuss possible crime
scenarios." ]<<<<<
