"Good afternoon, ma'am. Was you trip to see the good Prince Etsy go as
well as you had planned?"

Hmmmm? How do you know about that?

"Part of what you pay me for is to know what others don't."

So, you keep me under surveillance....

"You're one of the more powerful people on the planet. Of course I keep
you under surviellance. And your bodyguards report to me, ma'am."

Why am I not surprised. Yes, my visit went well. I think I was able to
convince him to help me. After all, he owes me several lives.

But what the frag happened with Seattle? I received a private message
earlier today from a Pulp Fiction claiming responsibility. What's the
damage assessment?

"The building was mostly destroyed, as was most of the contents. We lost
several technicians, but the overall damage to our Seattle operations
will be ultimately minimal. I've already begun transfering personel and
equipment from other MSI facilities worldwide to Seattle to cover our
contracts. They should be all in place by this time tomorrow, for a
minimum of disruption."

And the example I ordered? Now it is vital that the message be sent very
clearly.

"The quad is on the trail of one of the raiders as we speak, but have
been unable as of yet to get close enough to eliminate with minimal
chance of discovery. I know you don't care if the rest of the shadows
know, as that is your intention. I was speaking in regards to Lone Star
and the other security agencies in Seattle."

Very well. I'll give you another 4 days, maximum. After that, frag the
threat of discovery, understand?

"Of course."

And your trip to Kyoto went well?

"Excellently. Mr. Mitsuhama was more than equitable, and we should hear
from the Court before too long. Certainly within the next week at the
outside. I was also able to cut some of the more unpleasant prospects
from your "maximum" offer. We did well to remain on Mitsuhama's good
side for the past year. It has definately paid off, and will continue to
do so."

Excellent. I'll definately remember to send Toshio a Christmas gift.

"Christmas? You?"

The holiday is an excellent excuse for a party. Besides, with the
supposed spirit of the season, it is far often far easier to get what you
want from your friends and enemies. In the spirit of reconcilliation, of
course.

"Oh, of course...."

How goes the cleanup?

"Excellently. We'll be totally back to normal within 2 days. I have
ordered the cessation of sattelite blinding upon completion. There will
be nothing else to see. The majority of the facility, especially
involving the refining and purifying of the raw materials, is underground
and shielded from recon. We shall be nearly undetectable again. And per
your instructions, we've altered the uniforms and repainted the
vehicles. When blinding lets up, MAR-A_M will no longer appear to be a
Maxim facility."

Wonderful! And with the good Prince's evidence.... We should have more
than enough time to complete our development and testing phases and be
well into production.

If you'll excuse me, John, I have a few messages and the rest of a
corporation to run.]<<<<<
