After nearly a week of silence on the matter, a spokesman for the Chief
Moses of the Salish-Shidhe Council announced that the ceremony to give
commendations to area corporations for their work has been rescheduled for
this Friday, the 29th.

The ceremony had originally been scheduled for the 15th, nearly two weeks
ago, but was postponed due to various terrorist threats that had been
received by the parties involved, most noticeably the S-S Council itself.
According to the prepared remarks presented by the tribal spokesman, "We
have looked at the overall situation, including the potential danger from
the various threats we have received. Along with Lone Star, the security
arms of the various corporations involved, we have developed a plan for
upgraded security that we believe will ensure the safety of Chief Moses and
the representitives of the corporations to be honored.

The fact that some irrational individuals can make threats and delay what
should be a moment that will bring all peoples into closer accord is indeed
lamentable. We will not be diverted from our desire to honor those
companies who stand up for the rights of all mankind without the racial
prejudice that seems to be emerging more and more in today's society."

The spokesman stated that the ceremony will be held in the Seattle Opera
House in the Seattle Center, Friday, the 29th of March, at 5 PM. While
attendance is limited to invited guests, the ceremony will be broadcast by
several of the local networks.
