Lilith
is here with me and I figured it would be quicker to inform you direct.

Nice, huh? The worst thing is, everything I have on Drake says he's a totally
honest and dedicated cop who'll feel really bad about bringing me in, but
won't let that stop him one little bit: and he's very good, too. Shitshitshit.

This Aztlan angle is *big*. They don't usually work so bluntly: someone
really wants my interference on that tortureware stopped, urgently. Why?
What is so important about it? Why make such a blatant move on me?

You know me, boss, I'm not asking the Agency to do anything to protect me
or help me. That's not the deal and it never was. But you want to start
pointing assets at this. If nothing else, find who they bought at InterPol.
Step up signal monitoring, especially around Denver. Help me find out what's
happening. Or at least let my replacement go in properly briefed.]<<<<<

>>>>>[You have my sympathies, Jason, though you know that's as much as I
can
do for your situation. Survive the short term, and we may be able to ease
the longer-term heat a little, as usual: for now, act at your own discretion.

As for the matter of Aztlan, I'm fascinated by such an overt move against
you. You must have stung them somewhere very sensitive indeed.

I will do what I can. Take care: replacing you would be difficult.]<<<<<
