spirits before you say things like this. Firstly, you're talking a large
operation. That means discipline, teamwork, organisation. I don't see
many runners accepting that. Jen and Gabe - or you - following orders
without hesitation? It's not the way you work, but it's how you'd _have_
to work in there. Rugged individualism, dash, style and daring all spell
"bug food" in a situation like that.
Secondly, you severely overestimate both the number and power of the
shadowrunners out there. Those that are good enough to recruit for an
operation like this are far beyond the stage of a new SIN and a handful
of newyen being enough to buy them. This is not a one-night hit and fade
operation: this is years of sustained combat operations. Over a hundred
square miles of city to clear, against an enemy we can't starve out and
who won't run out of ammo, and we can't call up air or arty because the
idea was to keep the citizens alive.
Review a few history books. Start with Berlin, Stalingrad and Leningrad
last century, then work back through other urban conflicts.
Clearing Chicago on foot, room by room, is an option that makes massive
insecticide bombardment look attractive.]<<<<<
