>>>>>[M'finally gettin t'make this report t'you. Ev'rything was smooth.
Lots better than NZ for me. I'll take 'em like that anytime. Anyway,
anyway...

After we (being Evita, Ronin, and me) finally got out plans together, and
I finished all the necessary digging, we made our way to NYC. Ronin skipped
separately (I don't think he likes me much). I helped Evita get her gear
out there w/o worries from the secboys.

Our driver picked up us. Son-of-a-slag, had a thing for petite, Asian women
just my luck. Hadda recast just to get him off me. But he was a good
enough driver.

We're there a couple hours before we break north. Tidy Diaper appreciated
our acquistion none too much, but who asked them? Their driver's still
breathin -- be thankful, I always say.

Covered the van, and the entry team (all four o'us). Left Mr. Octopus in
the van in case we came out runnin. Caught 'em with their pants down
on shift change, (nearly cried I was laughin so hard). Nobody even blinked
as we walked past.

Found the first avail cyberterm, and did m'thing. Secboys running to the
other end of the building, plenty o'time to make the exit. Also set up
the appropriate distractions, all the bells and buzzers, y'know!

By the way, m'glad you don't ask for milspec reports! So much easier to tell
drek like it happened, 'stead o'wipin m'feet on the truth.

So ... uh ... yeah! We exit the office and book down to the holding area.
The kid was there, and the computers were looped so no one even knew it.
What's more ... even if someone saw three guards down in the holding pen,
they would've checked the duty log, and "we" were right where we were
"supposed" to be. Like butta, baby ... like sugah, honey!

That would be smooth and sweet to a layman like yourself. <smile>

Anyway, the kid was whiny and teary-eyed, m'real glad we swept her outta
there. But she started to slow us down, and I didn't wanna hear it. So
m'talkin to her and tryin to calm her down, and I almost forget we're still
in the place (that's how you know it's goin too too easy)!

Nearly walked right into the patrol center! Ronin grabbed me and got me
refocused. Guess it was more than just the kid, though. Been in a daze, not
gettin 'nough sleep... whatever whatever... you're not my counselor, my
priest, OR my doctor ... forgot you don't care.

Well, we got the kid out ta make a long story short. NYC rigger-boy steered
us out, calm as clams. (Speaking of which, download the remainder of my
flow by transfer to >>encrypted<< if y'please!).

Dropped Ronin in the city, though. Never really got t'thank him for smackin
me en la cabeza. Coulda gotten us all hosed ...

BUT I DIDN'T! And Evita and me been chill since. She reminds me a'me before
all the drek started stickin t'me. Mi corazon la necesita. Y esta aqui.
Gracias a Dios.

Flight was fine; normal post op cheesy smiles. The kid even smiled a
couple times -- nothin like seein the sunshine through the clouds when the
angelbeams land in your window.

Evita even scooped a man! But she won't tell me if she scored the digits.

Hope she can find somebody special.

Hope I can keep m'head from explodin.

Guess I'll be seein ya soon for the trackin job, huh? Just make sure m'creds
secure by tomorrow morning.

F'ya speak to Ronin, tell 'im ... well, tell 'im I'd like to work with him
again.

And. Lo siento for the bad vibes.

Stay strong, Ash. See ya soon. {r}]<<<<<
