I don't think Lilith and I would be productive if applied to the
situation yet, but this is some seriously bad shit. He's still inside
SFRT ROE, but then he'd have to start offing civilians before he stepped
outside those limits. Admin job?]<<<<<

Fascinating and alarming. I passed the word to the appropriate people
that their captain is acting questionably and attracting attention, and
I gather they're concerned that he is not responding well to orders.

Their line, of course, is that it's a classified operation and a closed
file, which is their way of covering up while they decide what to do.

I read it that Special Forces are worried by this man's obsession. They
are not sure what to do about the situation, and hopefully the fact that
it's leaking wider and wider will convince them to take more effective
action, rein him in, and control the situation. If they don't, we'll
have to.

One problem they'll have is that if Otalvaro doesn't want to be found,
their chances of locating her are almost nonexistent, as you well
know... unless she wishes them to come for her, at a certain time and
place. Sacrificing assets in an effort to eliminate her strikes me as
misguided, but then SOC were never known for complete rationality.

Make sure we express our gratitude for Mr Stormwind's help, in whatever
form is mutually convenient. SOC might not be able to keep control of
their men, but they are quite good at concealing their operations: this
hadn't registered until Stormwind's tipoff, and we still have very
little data beyond his. ]<<<<<

Well, he's got orders to eliminate the renegade, and what amounts to
carte blanche to do so. Which he's making full use of. He has a lot more
latitude than I like, but so far he's still legal. Going after Hortensia
Otalvaro, who I presume is also known as Rosha, is his assigned mission,
and he's lost most of his Seattle team doing it. Either she's seriously
tough or she has support.

I kicked this up through the chain of command: let's see what happens.
That may, or may not produce useful results: at least keep him careful
of any incidental deaths or damage, if he knows others are watching.

I'd offer to back you up at the meeting, except I'm tied up at the
moment... but if you asked Quinn she'd probably go with you, or act as
sniper/magical cover, or whatever.

Oh, and send your lawyers talk to some of our people about payment for
this: you've helped us out, we owe you. Just _don't_ negotiate with a
Sergeant Karlsbruhn: he had a brush with Black IC that's left him a
little... well, he was never that normal anyway, what do you expect from
a decker? ]<<<<<
