I have been offered enough money to enable me to clone a new, fully human
body and to set myself up with a small army and a private island, and I
was not bought. My life has been threatened, and I have been tortured by
men like Skull, in all manner imaginable and many not, and I was not
broken. Several corporations threatened my friends, and even killed 3,
and I was not bought. Ares Macrotechnology saw my weakness to be my wife
and 7-year old girl, and threatened me with thier deaths. I was not
bought, and Ares killed the InterPol protection team and my wife and
daughter. I still successfully arrested the targets which Ares sought to
discourage me from arresting, and then the team who killed my family.
I have shot sniper bullets through innocent hostages to kill a terrorist
who though he or she could bend me that way. The hostages have all
lived. I have done the same with fellow cops, and some of them died.
I have no price, and there is nothing you can do to me or anyone which
will change that. The more you target major facilities, major names, the
more larger orginizations will hunt you down. And while it will likely
not be InterPol which finally arrests you or puts a bullet in your head,
someone will eventually. And if you anger enough people, if you make
yourself hot enough, no-one will touch you, no-one will know you, your
contacts will dry up, your backers will disappear, and your best friends
will sacrifice you to save themselves. When that happens, and at this
rate it will happen sooner rather than later, some group will find you
and do with you what it pleases. In that case, you'd better hope that
you find yourself face to face with InterPol or the FBI - We'd at least
leave you alive. Easy won't be so kind, I assure you. And there are
things far worse than death. Just ask Skull. I'm sure he knows a good
number of them.

Please, search into my background. Please. Not only will you get very
little of interest, you will find that there is no handles, no buttons.
And you'll set off more alarms than you've ever seen. Besides, that
would put you immediately into Special Branch's jurisdiction, albiet in a
limited way, and I'd be able to personally join the hunt, along with the
FBI, SIGA, and all the other people hunting for your spine.
And I assure you that most of my men and women have no price either.
