I've got friends in those units, I'll see what they're allowed to say.
Depends how locked down things are, but they'll tell me more than what
we've got. As for the operations... you don't really want to know. Trust
me on this. He did some work for the old Agency, with all that implies.

Don't get too hung on the cyber. Like I said, the UCAS is lagging in
this field: it's been fielded for several years, just in very small
quantities: with so few sources, and the price factor, it's rare but by
no means unheard of. I know several people in Seattle right now who have
various quantities of it, and while it might take around Thunda's
mythical 12.75 million (old torpedo calibre, wonder if that means
anything?) to build my suite, that certainly isn't Zurich Orbital
pricing.

But even with Transys-Neuronet's finest, I've got interface modules and
neural linkups, and while a lot of my gear's biomechanical there's still
a fair bit of implanted material, enough to show on X-ray let alone
autopsy.

He - or his double - has got something new, then. Cat's claws... this
sounds like some of the weirder Neo-A speculation about cloning and
genetic experimentation, but that runs into the problem of gestation
time: it's fairly easy to engineer fruit flies, they breed so fast, but
with sixteen-year cycles, there's only so many generations you could
squeeze in since the tech was available at all.

His decker support we can take for granted, Alex and Jake are silent but
I hear they've had to let Jake at the Jolt Cola... always a bad sign.
Whoever he's got is very good indeed.

Anyway, I've been turning over some rocks: see Lilith's post.
Hakkerstone, thanks for the advice, but we've been doing that for the
last two days already, talking to D'Arkan is what I do on the move.

And I don't have an empire, nor do I want one.]<<<<<
