>>>>>[We have received notification from an informant that the drugs and
BTLs are going to auction. Location is at this time unknown, as is a
date, but we now know he has them and is trying to sell them off. A
request has gone to Hoover asking for details on anyone big enough in
the Seattle area to take this kind of shipment. We shouldhave an answer
back in a few hours, at which point, would you like us to start shaking
these people down?

We have also, finally been allowed access to the scene of the Lone Star
theft, they finally buckled under the pressure. Jeez have they made a
mess of that site. They've had officers and christ knows what walking
all over it, there's nothing of value there at all, that we could use to
find the sources for the equipment Thunda used. The interesting thing,
is they have 6 other containment areas in that single vault, all of them
untouched. Including one that holds a small fortune in cash and credit.
Another contains valuables taken from heists and burglaries. Why Thunda
concentrated on the single cage, when a greater value was near to hand
is a mystery. You may be amused to learn, that they are now installing
live guards to supplement the expensive electronics they had in place.
Seems like Thunda just taught Lone Star something about maintaining
security, and relying too much on technology.]<<<<<

>>>>>[Once the information has been transmitted, I want an analysis on
the most likely buyers, there's no point crashing in on every underworld
figure in Seattle, we'll just cause problems and drive Thunda deeper
underground. We hit a selected few, but subtly, pumping for information
rather than arrests. We'll discuss this once we have the results of the
analysis. Inform me immediately we have a list of potential buyers.

Pull out what information you can from the scene at LSS, I want
photographs and analytical data from the scene, anything LSS are willing
to hand over might be useful, own forensics reports.]<<<<<

*****CC: Special Agent C. D'Arkan, Commanding, Seattle Field Office.
*****BCC: Capt. Sheridan L. Franklin, FBI Headquarters
>>>>>[Your comments have gone before the committee. They have rejected
your resignation. Your promotion has also been confirmed, and your
salary adjusted to reflect this. The committee has made it's decision,
you will abide by that decision.

You are officially SAC of the Seattle Division, and will answer directly
to Marian Tudor, in all cases of federal operation, except Achilles.
Your ASAC will be Lt. Crawley, promotion effective immediately.

You have full authorised access to RCSC in Omaha, and ITC in
Indianapolis. A further 12 agents have been assigned to you because of
the sensitive nature of Seattle in the Achilles Project. That gives you
35 agents to work with. If I can convince the committee I'll get more
down to you, but that will have to do for now. I have been authorised
to offer you one SO squad. Make the best use of them, that's all we've
got to spare. Because of the nature of some of the items coming through
at this time, DOJ has given us access to NDIC in Cleveland as
well.]<<<<<

*****PRIVATE: Chris D'Arkan
>>>>>[Chris, I'm sorry about the loss of Hakkerstone, Shannon, James and
Juarez. They were good men, all of them. But it happens, and if
everybody resigned their commission for each little mistake, we wouldn't
have a command structure, though that may be an agreeable situation for
some. The committee were all for accepting your resignation, but Brian
fought damned hard to keep you there in Seattle, he's got a lot of faith
in you, it'd be a shame to see that faith wasted.

Advice, as a friend, stick with it. Get Thunda, by whatever means
necessary, we must concentrate on Achilles. Thunda is absorbing too
much valuable time. We have been notified by MI6 that they have
movement of relevant suspects within their borders, we know from
investigation in this country that we have suspects moving as well.
Achilles is on line, we need to get back to it. You know Achilles
better than anyone else, except maybe myself and Brian, we can't afford
to lose you on this. The committee still do not wish involvement from
the CIA, or other "darker" sections, which means we're alone in this.
If we fail, it's going to be the end of the FBI, and maybe this
administration, shit, maybe even the end of this country, I don't know.
We're not geared for this kind of investigation, but we've got to make
it work. If you have any doubt as to our capabilities, or your own,
remember the mission, and your oath.

Wishing you luck, and congratulations.]<<<<<

*****INTERNAL: Achilles Project
>>>>>[Agent Crawley, would you report to my office immediately.
Headquarters has authorised me to inform you of your promotion to
Lieutenant, and that you are now officialy my ASAC. WHich means
everybody, I'm sorry to announce, I'm the new Commander of this office.
You may all address me as your lordship, his majesty or similar terms of
endearment. I will be holding a small celebration tonight in, yeah,
right, someone find a bar that's relatively clean please, as in, a lack
of shadows, for myself and Special Agent, Lt. Crawley. You may all
give me your true and honest opinions there, on a one off occassion to
voice yourselves. Then I'm afraid it's back to work.

As you all know, I have a slightly more relaxed approach to operational
procedures than Hak. That does not mean I will tolerate any reduction
in professionalism, or efficiency.

And Johnson, if you wish to get involved in long conversations with
members of the Shadow Community who are quite obviously baiting you, ask
me permission first, and that goes for all of you. I don't want
arguments starting up with an us and them attitude. The FBI already
have a division in Seattle that is geared to deal with this sort of
thing. We have a different purpose and I am not going to get hauled
over the rails because one of you has been running off at the mouth.

Special Agent Crawley, as your first official job in your new command
position I want you to arrange an appointment for me with Marian Tudor
at the Federal Building, the current Chief of Lone Star, and the current
head of Seattle's division of Knight Errant. Check the business
directory <g> and find out what other major players are in town. I want
them all to know that the FBI, and specifically us, are here, and that
our resources and skills are at their disposal. I'd rather not suffer
the isolation we've had over Thunda again. I don't very much care how
you contact these people, or what you do to convince them to meet, but
it's important they understand we are not here to interfere with their
"patch".

I'd prefer to deal with Marian first, she's going tobe the one who's
really pissed at us.

And Crawley, find me two other things, a restaurant where I can eat, and
a bar to relax. Christ is everything in this damn town occupied by the
criminal element?

Oh, yeah, and congratulations on the promotion.]<<<<<
