I'm not sure I can handle Thunda myself, and that's frightening, Chris.
It's frightening. I've killed men who believed themselves invincible.
I've parachuted into an AA megacorp's highest security compound to
destroy their nuclear arsenal. I've killed dragons (okay, both young,
dumb and arrogant, but it's the thought that counts) and I still don't
know how I'm going to take Thunda unless he sticks his head up at the
wrong time... no chance of that, he knows sniping better than I do.
Okay, can you handle assault rifles (various types, none too exotic -
mostly FN-HARs, a M-22, that sort of thing), some underbarrel shotguns
and thumpers, a sniper rifle or three, maybe a Beretta 70 et cetera,
showing up in the hands of black-fatigue-clad Feds at the scene? (Black
fatigues. Gah. Necessary here, but I hate the things almost as much as I
hate hardshell armour) I know Fed specialists tend to be individual in
their tastes in weapons, I don't want to risk overdoing it.
We don't plan to go in with anything exotic, but there might be a
little... variety, especially among the runners. We'll keep the antiques
out of sight, though.
Keep working the patterns. Guys like this - even guys like me - have
patterns, and you and your people are trained to spot them. Us? I'm ex-
corp, ex-miltary, like Thunda you point me and let me go. Lilith has...
an intuition about him, she has more in common with him than you might
want to know (but then she was working for the Agency before Coppinger
arrived, she seems to understand the guy.)
Don't worry too much about him coming for you. He'll go for me first,
and he'll time and effort doing it. I'm not easily found at the best of
times. If he does... it gives us an opening, I've got a couple of
ambushes set.
And power armour sucks in my not-so-simple opinion, even Maxim CVR-7s
can be taken down if you're determined enough. Concentrate on not being
hit instead of making yourself a larger, noisier target.]<<<<<
