>>>>>[You are a constant source af amazement Lynch. You admit to
fearing Thunda, yet continually bait him in public. I appreciate that
your giving our matrix division a handle on him, and I dare say some of
your own friends are after his cybernetic butt, all the same though you
are taking the mother of all risks.

For what it worth we're with you, and if we can, we'll be there when you
need us. I've got 40+ agents at your disposal the minute we find the
freak. DEA have a vested interest in this character now that he's
broken several trafficking laws, and they're donating two strike teams,
which will give our SO boys a nice boost. We're not combat specialists,
but we can pack a punch or two.

Let's just hope that Thunda sticks his head over the top of his burrow
long enough to get a line on him, there's a few snipers on my team, and
with LSS, who would like to put a heavy calibre round in that brain
case.

We're cleared on most currently available weapons and equipment, and
when I say currently available, I don't mean military stuff. Basic
weapons training covers HAR's 227's, M-22's and A-30 ARs, SO are cleared
on pretty well all of them, though the M-34 and 41 are new toys we
haven't seen yet. Sidearms, everything from derringers to Thunderbolt.
though standard issue is Glock 50 or Sig Saeur P228 and P340
Underbarrel shotguns and thumpers (grenade launchers?) are more SO
material, though auto and assault shotgun is a tool we have employed.
Rifles are also the domain of SO, most agents are cleared on HAR and
HK227, but nothing more exotic, SO cover most rifles up to the PSG-9
series. One or two have invested cash in their own toys.

Mainly this kind of operation would call for something like standard
sidearm, 227 or M-22, shotguns for close quarters, and gas dispensers.
SO would take whatever they felt would be needed, up to but not
necessarily including an APC, with ram.

And what precisely is wrong with black fatigues? They're functional, if
not fashionable.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, patterns, hah! Yeah, we're trained to
look f55or consistencies, similarities and predict possible
relationships between events, believe me, it's not a fun part of the
job, though it can save problems.

I would be interested to hear Lillith's ideas on Thunda, she may have a
view I haven't considered, oh yeah, that's another thing we're good at,
collating, well paid paper shufflers <g>

I'm not worried about him coming after me Lynch, I was just speculating,
I'm small fish for this guy, it'll be you he's gunning for.

Powered armour may suck99 in your opinion, but having a few inches of
steel plate between me and that asshole, sounds pretty attractive, and
hell, on trid at least, it's damned good stuff, that's the one I want,
not something the Army are messing with. I want that nice tiger
stripped monster Angela drives, preferably with her still in it <g>
watch yourself Lynch, Thunda seems to be taking more of an interest in
you. From what we've seen so far, you don't want to mess with his
matrix people, if they come looking for you, I hope to christ you've got
someone _real_ good backing you up.

So far, Thunda has dropped a threat, left it, but when he's come back
and made a point of it, he means it. This is the third time I'm aware
of that he has said he's coming for you. This time, I believe he means
it. Get used to wearing body armour for a while. I strongly recommend
chest armour, most snipers go for a body shot, there are few who can
take a bead on a head in the kind of weather we're having now, and I
believe Thunda will want to savour your death, a head shot is too clean.
I mean it Lynch, watch your back. You may be as difficult to find as he
is, but there's too much risk involved. Talk to Lillith, I feel she
might agree with me, if she knows Thunda as well as I do. And wear that
damned armour Lynch, it might make the difference.]<<<<<
