The documentation discovered by Dr. Anderson has pointed to a location
further south, we are heading to Xultan and then to Altun Ha.
Indications are that there is further information available here. The
documentation that he has uncovered describes an article very similar to
the one we were searching for, and matches the pieces found so far.
With luck, we will find further information that points to the Soul's
location.
I need a small ... well, maybe not so small, favour. I would like a
couple general geographical and infra-red satellite photographs of the
Yucutan peninsula. Something curious has turned up, that Ben feels may
be a significant clue. There appears to be a pattern to the
construction of major cities in this area.
If you have a map handy, you may want to take a look yourself. Mapping
the positions of Uxmal, Chitchen Itza, Becan, Xpuhil, Rio Bec, Palenque
and Tikal, a pattern becomes obvious. These cities match the
constellation of Orion almost perfectly. Allowing for the Mayan
fascination for astronomy, this may be an important piece of
information. The area of the Yucutan surrounding Tikal, contains no
less than 14 Mayan sites, 4 of them quite extensive and known as centres
of power. The area, is alledgedly called Xibalba by the natives.
One of the mages with us, feels that an accurate geographical photograph
taken by satellite, will allow him to accurately plot the ley lines that
are present in this part of Aztlan. He feels that the location of the
ley lines may lead to an important clue as to the centre of Mayan power
in this part of the world. That may reveal the location of information
regarding use of the soul. It is important that you get this
information to us if possible. Rather than ask my jockey to run the IC,
it might be easier for you to access military satellite imaging to
acquire these photographs.
