The camera shows a street in a middle class residential district. Two
Lone Star patrol vehicles block the road, and several officers are
quite busy on the road. A news reporter is centered on. Next to him, a
Lone Star Lieutennent is just answering a question. His name is faded
in: "Lt. Cooper, LS SWAT"

"No, so far we have no clue if this was just another act of random
violence, or a plannened assassination."
"So, what happened?"
"Two so far unidentified male persons did attack the vehicle of the
victim, using automatic weapons. The attack was resisted by the
victim's bodyguard and the quickly arriving Lone Star Fast Response
Team."

The reporter hesitates, then inquires: "Well, that really is a short
summary. Who was the victim?"
"I am sorry, but I am not authorized to give that information. Please
contact our press center."

The same reporter now interviews Abraham Smith. Directly behind,
slightly to the right of Abraham, an enormous man is standing. He has a
large pistol holstered clearly visible, and scans the area in irregular
intervals.

"Of course this attempt to assassinate me is politically motivated.
There have been death threats against me, and the whole People's
League, for several weeks, especially by those criminals who call
themselves 'shadowrunners'."

"So, what happened, Mr Smith?"
"Well, those two individuals attacked us from ambush. But, as I said,
there have been death threats, especially by an individual named Lynch,
I employeed a bodyguard," Smith points at the man behind him, "which
proved to be the right decision.
"In self defense, Mr. Kahle used terminal force to stop the assault."

"What is that about the death threats?"
"I am sorry, but as there is still an indictment for defamation against
me, I am not allowed to name the so-called security agency and even
less allowed to name them fascists or terrorists. I will not do so, not
until my innocence is proven."

Whoever hired these dilettantes, be informed your money was wasted. The
People's League will still voice the opinion of the citizens. And
Thunda's ideals of a homogenous population will still be held up.
