>>>>>[ Hey Marathon, when in time were shadowrunners supposed to have
morals? Think. A properly moral person wouldn't break the law left and
right to earn a paycheck.

If you post here don't expect your morals to be held with the same
conviction. Each person here has their own set of ethics which comprise
their morals. That doesn't make them morally challenged. That makes them
human. If they don't believe in the Western Religions, then why should
they be limited to the Ten Commandments and the morality taught from the
Western Religions. They shouldn't. In their morals, it could easily be
that Euthanasia is perfectly accepted. I know for me it is. I'm not
Jewish - Pagan - Muslim - Christian. Why should I be limited to something
from religions that hold no value to me? I respect people who believe that
one of those religions is the path to Enlightenment, but I don't believe
that is so. I still have morals. It's just that they aren't spawned from
the ideologies hammered in by organized religion. So what? That doesn't
make me less human or morally challenged. ]<<<<<

>>>>>[ Frighteningly enough, I agree with him. Religion and society is
where we define our morals from. It is from there that we learn what is
right and wrong. So if I'm an atheist, why should I follow the "rules"
taught from Western or Eastern Religion? Because it is polite?

Most of us don't work the shadows because it is polite. Most of us, have
very good reasons for working the shadows, but they aren't morally correct
as deemed from society. I have seen so many senseless deaths that I'm
almost numb from it. Yet still I run the shadows. That isn't very moral,
now is it? I sense from your statements, Marathon, that the only moral
person here is Valentine. But Valentine isn't a shadowrunner. We are. We
have to pay the bills somehow. When it comes right down to it, money was
never a moral thing because it feeds the monster greed. Yet we all need
money to survive. Even Valentine.

No offense, Valentine, because I deeply respect what you are doing, but how
moral is it to take the blood money we earn? Where is the line drawn for
actions between what is moral and what is not?

If you are a shadowrunner, then by that very definition, you are Morally
Challenged, because you sit outside society. Isn't that image in the mirror
lovely? "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." By your very
definition, I'm morally challenged. By your definition, you are morally
challenged in my eyes and not vice versa. ]<<<<<
