Subject: Halloween fun.

Well, I was out in the barrens looking for that party that Chaos mentioned
when the pond scum that inhabits the place decided to make my trip a little
more interesting. It never ceases to amaze me how hard it is to convince
gangers to leave when they have the chance.

Three men, apparently gangers by the look of them have a very attractive
woman backed up against the wall of what appears to be a derelict building.
The woman, dressed in the current trendy fashion style, has obviously found
herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Judging by the looks on the
men's faces as they continue to approach her, things are about the get a
whole lot worse.

A voice can be heard muttering. "Why does this shit always happen around me?
Can someone tell me that? Christ, can't even go on a leisurely walk through
the barrens without having a beautiful damsel in distress to save. What's
the world coming to these days?"

As the camera continues to move closer to the action, one of the men turns
to face it. "Hey man, you want a piece of this action too?" he asks, with
a grin. "You can have her real cheap when we're done."

Continuing to move closer, the cameraman speaks up, "Don't mind if I do."

As the ganger turns back around and starts to grab for the woman, and hand
darts out from behind the camera and intercepts him. Almost negligently,
the cameraman twists the arm backwards behind the ganger and applies an
upward pressure that, judging by the way the ganger is now standing on
tip-toes, must not be the most comfortable feeling.

"I suggest you let the lady go. She has my protection." With that, the
cameraman gives the ganger that he's holding a shove towards the other two,
extends his hand for the woman and gently moves her around behind him.
"Don't worry, everything is going to be fine. Just stay behind me and I'll
walk you out of here."

"Not so fast, asshole!" one of the gangers shouts. "You might have caught
one of us off guard, but you know you can't take all of us."

"Oh, really?" is the amused reply. "Look, fellas, I don't really want to
have to hurt you. I'm in a good mood today, so why don't you just turn
around and walk away."

Their response is obvious by the way they fan out and draw knives. Sighing,
the cameraman reaches back and gently moves the woman farther behind him
before taking up a combat stance.

"I tried to warn you." the cameraman says, sighing.

With that, the ganger in the middle lunges straight ahead, leading with his
knife. The cameraman deftly side steps and grabs the ganger's wrist.
Holding the knife hand away from himself, he pivots until the ganger's
body is between him and the attacker on the left. Seeing opportunity, the
ganger on the right tries to lunge in and take the cameraman from the
outside, but apparently he was seen on the way in, as a foot lashes out and
catches him in the stomach, doubling him over.

The cameraman kicks the knife that has fallen from the downed ganger away
from the fight as he twists painfully on his captured ganger's wrist and
relives him of his weapon as well. Now that he's been disarmed, the
cameraman gives the captured ganger a shove toward his friend on the left.

"Last chance. After this, I start breaking bones. No more friendly
warnings." As the cameraman speaks, words appear at the top of the
camera frame: "Reflex trigger engaged."

Apparently unwilling to take no for an answer, the gangers once again fan
out in front of the camera. The ganger on the left, the last one with a
knife, lunges toward the camera as his friend on the right tries to
close at the same instant. Faster than though, the camera moves to the
left, dodging the knife fighter, and a leg lashes out impacting the knee of
the unfortunate ganger attached to the knife. An audible snap and scream
announce to the world that the ganger is out of the fight.

Suddenly, the view spins just in time to see the other two gangers charging
in from behind. Darting out to the right, the cameraman grabs the ganger on
that side, and uses his own momentum to spin him around and send him
crashing into the side of the building with a satisfying crunching sound.
Turning to face the last of the gangers, the figure drops into a combat
stance. The ganger, looking at his two fallen friends, apparently
decides that enough is enough, turns and flees down the street as fast as
his feet will carry him.

It turns out that the woman, Samantha, had been on her way to a party when
she got lost and her car broke down on the edge of the barrens. Of course,
we went back to my place, and she spent several hours expressing her
gratitude for my saving her. ]<<<<<

How does he do it? No matter when we are, he _always_ seems to pick up a
woman. Unbelievable. ]<<<<<
