My wanderings have lead me to a place where I may feel at peace, for now.
The living arrangements are not so luxuriant as they have been, but are at
least far better than what they have been in the worst of times, and are
quite safe. I am taking things a day and a step at a time.

My music is keeping me company, that, and careful sojourns among the
quieter parts of the metropolis. I was able to take in an intimate little
gallery today. I wished to look at the paintings unfettered, but was
troubled at the thought of showing my "true colors." Bravery won out, and
I was pleasantly surprised that the owner was more curious than shocked.
It happened that the woman couldn't seem to decide if I was a most
uncommon gawker, a potential buyer, or if I was looking for work either as
artist or model. She seemed disappointed that I was only interested in
looking, and offered a reasonable sum if I would pose for her. I must
admit, the idea, at the time, seemed attractive, not that money is yet or
hints at ever being a difficulty, but I fear that I would be too tempted
to let the artist be a sculptor, and am glad that I refused. Perhaps
someday....

It has been so very long since I last walked alone and unconcealed in
public, and I suppose that it was a pleasant enough experience, but I am
not sure that I would do something so...impetuous again soon. I hope
things are going well for you and look forward to when I will have the
chance to share with you the song I have begun writing today.
