Lilith, we just got some traffic from the embassy in Aden. A woman from
Camp One turned up, alive and fine. Some mad merc called Lynch got her
out and put her in a truck headed for town. Last she saw of him he was
alive and well and heading back to give Akbar hell.
He also said to tell you "Young British Soldier". What does that
mean?]<<<<<

It's a poem, by Kipling. Lynch likes Kipling. Especially a few of the
verses.
" When half of your bullets fly wide in the ditch
Don't call your Martini a cross-eyed old witch
She's human as you are, you treat her as sitch
And she'll fight for the young British soldier.
When shaking their bustles like ladies so fine
The guns of the enemy wheel into line
Shoot low at the limbers and don't mind the shine
For noise never startles a soldier.
When your officer's dead and the sergeants look white
Remember it's ruin to run from a fight
So take open order, lay down and sit tight
And wait for support like a soldier.
When you're wounded and left on Afghanistan's plains
And the women come out to cut up what remains
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
And go to your God like a soldier."
He's telling us he's going to stay and fight. He's _good_ at that.]<<<<<
