As for the farm... whoever worked out how to screw it, did a good job.
Low-level heavy metal poisoning is a _great_ way to shut down farmland
without risking the area. Someone wanted me out of business without too
much public protest.
Alternatives... there are a couple, but most of them involve
manufacturing processes that make sort of a mess of the air, the land,
the water or all three, and the reason they happen in the nastier
corners of the Barrens is because nobody wants them near registered
voters. I feel kind of responsible for these people and I don't want to
drop a contaminated-waste landfill in their backyards.
I've still got a usable idea or three left... we'll see how it works
out.
Anyway, once this blows over and we either kill each other or the
contract gets lifted, drop by the bar and introduce yourself to Vinny.
