We have something weird here. First, two worrying pieces of satellite
data.

A Ro-Ro cargo ship in the Arabian Sea just made a sharp course change,
heading for the Red Sea at thirty knots. I pulled the files and it
really looks strange, she changed ownership eight days ago. Bought from
Papandreyou Marine by a British shell company called Rodriguez Shipping
while she was pierside in Singapore, put to sea twelve hours later,
allegedly no cargo, bound for Kuwait City. Wherever she's going she'll
probably be there before any hard data comes up.

And there's two big PARWIG transports unloading heavy vehicles at the
Hawker dock, where they used to ship ore out and heavy equipment in?
Fifty, sixty armoured vehicles, plus cargo vehicles. Maybe a battalion's
worth, plus some serious artillery, which Akbar didn't have any to speak
of before. They're going to get seriously mediaeval on that camp and
anything else that gets in their way, and they just got some more
reinforcements.

It smells really foul to me, sir. Looks like a corporate reinforcement
of Akbar and his goons, probably more armour and some heavy weapons to
break those mercs. When he does, that gives him twenty per cent of the
world niobium supply, there and then.

I'll keep pushing for data and I'll keep you informed.

Oh, by the way, Akbar's not getting it all his own way. One of his
battalions lost over a tenth of its manpower last night, if SIGINT and
the pictures are to be believed. No idea why... they just all started
shooting at themselves, then called in mortar fire on their own
position. At least eight vehicles destroyed, and the SIGINT suggests
over half the unit are KIA, wounded or missing. The highest-ranking guy
Colonel White - the brigade CO - can raise is a platoon commander.
Serious decapitation.
