B: Situation report

S: So far damage is minimal. Achilles is not aware of the hitter, and
has no knowledge who carried out the hit. Destruction was complete.
The offices are destroyed, collateral damage was dissapointingly
minimal. Frank Crawley is dead, information indicates that D'Arkan died
of his wounds in transit to the hospital. We are awaiting confirmation
on that. SIGA is unlikely to become involved in any operations we hold
at this time, their primary agent is out of town, and most of his
cronies are with him. They are not a problem at this time, and I do not
consider them a problem at any later date. Life is getting somewhat
confusing and distracting for them. They have, shall we say, sufficient
problems without worrying about us. COT is not primarily their
operational concern anyway.

E: Chronos is on schedule. No compromise is expected.

S: The problem with Demon has been attended to. His head awaits your
inspection in your office

B: Good. WHat is the progress on the control interfaces?

T: So far we have a good response. We shouldn't experience the same
problems we had with the previous subject. There will be no loss of
signal, and no loss of control. The subject so far, believes that they
control their own destiny, our guidance is complete. All, subliminal
desires and messaging is virtually un-noticeable, though some lateral
pain is experienced. We are analysing this area, to see how much of a
problem it presents to the subject.

A: Field tests to date are encouraging. So far the subject has
followed all instructions with no sign of rebellion. We have attempted
several different scenarios to best test the subject, including several
that would normally be distastefull to the subject, to date, we can find
no indication that Chronos remembers anything they have done. The
corpses resulting from the fields tests have been disposed of as
instructed. There will be no trace.

T: Evaluation indicates that the previous efforts made with relay
communications suites, with boosters placed at strategic points was not
the optimal method for delpoyment of said equipment.. There is simply
too much radiation noise in Seattle to compensate correctly for any loss
of signal experienced during the control functions. It has been decided
this time to monitor the subject remotely using alternative implants,
the control unit will be airborne and in the neighbourhood. An
implanted subliminal will prevent the subject from leaving the city
unitl programmed to do so. There should be no loss of control similar
to that experienced by the previous test subject. However, it will
still take some field testing to properly analyse the system and fix any
bugs that are found within the system.

A: Approaches have been made to interested parties, who will be in town
to witness the demonstration whenever we are ready to go live. If the
field test is successful, we should make sufficient from the sale of the
technology to fund our operation for some time to come. All we need to
do is find a suitable subject to demonstrate the hardware. It would be
ironic to use Lynch as a subject, his abilities to survive are
phenomenal, his combat experience unbelievable. Unfortunately he is out
of town and therfore not a viable prospect. When he returns, if he
returns, he will be worn out, and tired from his activities abroad, it
would not be a fair test. The second option Easy, is also dead, taken
out by a thug from the barrens. This limits the ability we have to
field test and gain retribution. The only other possible solution would
be to employ a few deniables from the shadows. Set them against
Chronos. Their death should be sufficient to convince the buyers of the
viability of the system.

L: This is something we have considered. Feasibility is high. Chronos
would be besst tested in it's initial stages against a team operating
against the single subject. A man-hunt of sorts. We employ the team to
transfer a package from Auburn to Tacoma, as they pick up the package,
we release Chronos. He can then hunt the team down and exterminate
them. If he fails, it's not a problem. I would however suggest a test
of this system prior to a demonstration to make certain that there will
be no errors. We would of course need to place a tracking device within
the packaging. Something powerful enough to override any ECM the team
may employ to hide themselves, yet subtle enough that it won't be
obvious to anyone on cursory inspection.

B: Very well. If Achilles are suffering as much as you say, and
Chronos is so far working without problem. Employ a team. Offer them
10,000 to make the delivery. Inform them there will be one person
opposing them, no more, a freelancer shall we say. Set Chronos to alert
status and begin warming up the gear. We cannot afford any fuck ups
when the buyers are here.

A: There are some combat capable people available. I've been monitoring
the boards and several have shown certain "abilities". We might
consider one of those as the target.

B: No. There is little point in taking one of the names as a target.
Look at the mess that fool is in after killing Easy. I'd rather not
bring that kind of heat down on this operation. Something I have no
doubt would happen if we approached in that manner. No, we go with the
employment. After all, it would not be the first time a team was
fragged over on a simple run. If they make it they've earned the money,
if not, we have lost nothing and gained much. How soon can we begin.

T: Chronos can be operational within 72 hours. 24 hours after that, he
can be in position and programmed. As soon as the operation is
complete, he will report back to the shop and continue working as though
nothing has happened. It would be advisable at this time to keep the
political section under wraps. We certainly do not need any advertising
during the test.

B: Very well. Make it so.
