Belial, whoever he, she or it was, revealed more than they might have
wished by their attacks on Jason and I. Eblis revealed even more.
Smeagol, as far as can be told, is merely a cretin.
There may be - will be - direct attacks on us: we have survived such
before, we hope to survive others.
To be blunt, if we die, others will replace us, though that's small
consolation to us: but by engaging the threat, we draw them out for
analysis. And if we are killed, we will be avenged.
Witness, for instance, the ruthlessly effective FBI and SIGA Matrix
trianglation on Thunda, using the lengthy slanging match between my
husband and Goldsmith to gather the required data. A risk, but a
calculated one. Goldsmith killed several Federal officers as well as
hundreds of civilians: what did it avail him? Not one thing.
And certainly we can be killed. Likely, one or both of us will be. But
until then, we have duties and obligations.
We _will_ do all we can to allow people to live safely, to go about
their business without being killed or kidnapped, to prevent opportunist
sociopaths from massacring scores of innocent civilians merely because
it is convenient for them to do so.
